This is not a course, it is an addition to the level 1 and 2 curriculum.
What Is A Concept Class?
Basically the concept classes objective is to build basic traditional Muay Thai skills. If you're interested in the purest side of the martial art without the sparring this class is for you. Things such as the leg check, push kick, knee, elbow, and blocking drills for approximately 20 - 30 minutes per class. The remaining time will be a good workout in the level 1 format.
Let me explain further, unlike the hybrid class where different skills were taught week to week, and on some days more than one skill was practiced; the concept class will only teach one skill for 2 - 6 weeks. In other words if we are teaching the leg check we will spend approximately 30 minutes on developing 'this' skill until we feel the majority of students understand how to do it CORRECTLY, this could take anywhere from 2 - 6 weeks.
