If you have previous training in MuayThai it may allow you to bypass the full Beginner course or Basic Training course. New students coming to our club with no kickboxing experience must take the basic training program.

Our main concern is the safety of students; a major part of the orientation/evaluation (OE) is to orient the student to our methods for pad holding and techniques for striking. The other reason for the meeting is to see if the person needs to any assistance learning these skills. Finally, our insurance company dictates that all students must go through formal beginner training. From a liability stand point we must make sure each and every person has a general set of skills so that they understand the safety issues that go along with training and holding thai pads before participating in the regular class group. 

If it is determined by your instructor that you have adequate skills in pad holding and basic striking this will be the only one-on-one class you need to have before starting in Level 1. This meeting also give you the opportunity to try out a class without further commitment and allows you to ask questions, purchase equipment (if desired), and become familiar with our club structure.
